What sort of treatment centers are there for changing behaviours ?
For 6 years now, I have been struggling with mental health issues, not so much drug or alcohol issues, but more behaviour issues self injuring cutting, burning, starving self, suicidal tenancies, and compulsive lying . I just recently started drinking, i'm not at the point that i'm an alcoholic. I just drink cause I like not feeling anything. I have had many admissions to local hospitals which resulted in nothing changing, because I really didn't want help or to change at that time. But now I do, I want to make a future for myself and overcome these obstacles. Does anyone know of any treatment centers in Canada that could help me overcome the problems I briefly described above? Also does anyone know of any treatment centers that are government funded or covered by insurance?

Are there any mental health treatment centers in Canada that are government funded or are covered by insurance?
I'm not looking for a psych hospital or anything along that line. I'm looking more for a treatment center I can go away to for a year or so, and one that is coverered through the basic health insurance my parents have for me, or government funded so my canadian health card covers it .

How long ago did they start having sex rehab treatment centers?

Adolescent residential treatment centers / rehab?
My parents want me to send me to an adolescent residential treatment center for my bulimia and depression. Are inpatient treatment centers only beneficial for alcoholics who drink everyday?
Someone I know has a problem and his wife wants him to go to a rehab like place. He claims it won't help him because he falls off the wagon more like monthly and doesn't drink daily. Is that ridiculous or realistic?He probably drinks more than once a month, but it's catastrophic every month or two wrecking cars, spending all the family's $, not coming home at all, etc.

Do you know anyone or know if these actually make someone stop drinking. Is there a good chance of them quitting drinking from going here and it is a good idea to begin with? I read some about alcohol withdrawal too and it doesn't look good.

ok so ive been self mutilating since i was 12. its pretty bad. im 16 now and have attempted suicide twice and have frequent urges and thoughts of it. my self harm includes cutting, burning, bruising, and on occation not eating. no eating disorder though . anyways i just told my mom that im ready to get help so im seeing a counsler tomorrow but im really interested in having some short term inpatient treatment i guess almost like rehad at a treatment center. do places that help people with drug addictions also treat those with self harm addictions? so if you have any names of facilities with a program like this that could help me itd be greatly appreciated. i live in illinois btw so the closer the better. thank you so much

I just walked away from a methadone treatment center?
I've been in treatment for 9 months and weened myself down to 5 mg per day, it was costing me right at 800.00 bucks a month to go due to the cost of gas to get there on a daily basis anyways I haven't been since monday...I'm very sick with flu like symptoms, body aches and irritable towards the world...I have already exploded on everyone in my home and on the verge of losing my family....is there any ways that i can overcome the irritably a little faster........these are the most terriable feelings I've ever encountered in my life I think.

Anyone know of a cancer treatment centers in NJ? My dad has CLL recently found several small tumors on his brain. and he had a mild stroke. he is now at a nursery home. he needs inpatient acute rehab. but he is not eating because of the radiation treatment. i want to get him out of there. nursery is not helping him. i need information from experience. i have been looking on the web.
