Suboxone Treatment: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: I just got off suboxone treatment for opiates but i still have chronic back psin is methadone the way to go ??

Please consult a pain specialist. There might be better options than methadone. For example: ever considered fentanyl patches coupled with oral analgesics? The clients that we have that were on long-term methadone responded poorly to other analgesia and required extremely high doses of narcotics. Not a good scenario.

Don't start yourself on methadone. For me, methadone was harder to kick than heroin was. Your back pain will get better each day - it's just one of the many symptoms of withdrawal. Just try to stick it out as best as you can without going towards methadone. Methadone was probably one of my worse experiences (and I went to methadone clinics three different times to try to kick dope).....
