Question: What are the sexual side effects of methadone usage?

I have been daten a guy for a few years who is now n has been on methadone for a few months, i have noticed a major decrease in his sex drive n sexual performance, i am woundering if this is normal, as i know not alot abount methadone w/ looking it up on the comp. thanks 4 ne help

From my own experince, it had a major effect on the sex. While it was an excellent high, I could never seem to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes there was lack of desire too. And I have a very high sex drive to begain with. Solution to the problem was I had to come off the methadone. Truly I miss the fantastic high, but I would never want to trade anything for sex!!!

ALL narcotics can cause some sort of problem in this area. Mainly if they've been used for a long amt. of time, and especially if they are guys. Methadone is an illegal drug that is strong, but most ppl still have sex but don't want it while they are taking this drug.
