Does anyone have advice for heavy opiate withdrawal?I'm miserable. Horrible fatigue. Diarrhea. Nausea. The creepy crawly anxiety is the worst! I don't know what to do. If anyone has any info to help I would appreciate it so much. Thanks a lot. - Zack p.s. The sleepless nights are the worst. Anyone relate?

Oh opiate withdrawals... I feel ya. I went through 2-3 weeks of hellish methadone withdrawal, not the only time but, the ONLY time on methadone, it was the worst. Anyways heres some advice -The creepy crawly anxiety... its horrible. Theres nothing much you can do about it. But you can try if you can, smoke some pot, or get some valium or xanax. But do not abuse them. It can trade on addiction for another. I'm sure you know that though. -IMMODIUM!! It has an extremely low dose of opiates believe it or not, you have to take more than the recommended dose however. It can stop diarreia and help allievate some w/ d. -Heating pads for sore muscles, hot baths, aroma therapy. OH AND ICYHOT!!!!! ICY HOT IS AMAZING FOR SORE TENSE MUSCLES!!! When you start to get tired, put a lot on, then go sit on a heating pad whereever it hurts the worst. Put on a movie, and try to get some sleep. This always helped me. I found sitting in the dark, TRYING to go to sleep, made it worse. -You can try the supplement Melatonin, and Kava Kava for sleep. They also make an anti energy drink called 'Drank'. It has melatonin, and some other vitamins that can help alleviate the restless leg. -If you haven't figured this out, stay away from over the counter drugs with antihistimines or the DXM stuff in it (benadryl, unisom). It seems to make restless leg a lot worse for many people. Stick to supplements and herbs for sleep. Seriously. -If you can find any other pharmacutical drug, like promethazine, that can help with nausea a LOT and help you get to sleep. And Gabapentin (Neurotin), will help the spasms, and help get to sleep. But if you cannot get any other pharms, try melatonin, Take one earlier in the day, one in the late afternoon, then one at nighttime. Aleve can also help with tense muscles. You can try walking a bit too if you feel up to it. Not too much though. Even streching. It always hurt me to strech when w/ ding because of the leg pain, but it can help. You could also go see your doctor complaing about restless leg and anxiety. But if you go if bad w/ ds, your doc will know something is up. I really hope this helps. I hate seeing another go through w/ d. It is so misrable. If you want to talk more, you can email me at x0tayylor0x@yahoo.com.

Yes absolutely. You can get instant relief to stop the cravings by a new treatment that also renders further opiates use ineffective. I'm a medical scientist, have analysed the data and this is for real. Everyone should know about this. Read the articles below for full explanation and access to the source of this treatment. Best wishes.

Been there!! Try a hot tub or a cold bath. the sharp changes in temperature temporarily occupy your brain and the withdrawals will subside. This will only last about 30 mins, so you can switch back and forth if neccessary. If you can get to the doctor, ask for a sleep aid like Ambien or Lunesta, and if you can get to an opiate treatment center, suboxone will completely eliminate withdrawals! Jogging and eating carbs and fruits will help too. Good luck!!

Please read what I have to say, it could save your life. I do not know what kind of pain killers u r taking but most have large quantities of acetaminophen. I like to pop a couple of Lortabs every other day as they just make me feel good. My best friend, "Jenn " does the same thing. She takes a couple a day OR she DID. Last week, she was rushed to the hospital, a day later she was on the liver transplant list at Oschner's in New Orleans, two days later she had a liver transplant!! Lots of people are taking prescription pain killers these days, because it is a quick fix, an easy mellow feeling. I was taking them for six months and felt it made me a better person, I was friendlier, more sociable, better focus..they really made me work better believe it or not. Now listen, this is important. Quitting cold turkey will save ur life, but the withdrawals are EXTREMELY hard. I felt like I was dying when I quit cold turkey. I spent countless hours on the internet, at GNC, and with this herbal lady here in town because I really felt like i was going insane (tremors, panic attacks, pain, restless legs, depression, anxiety.) So after two days of non stop research I found what worked and print this out because it works! Most of this, you can get at GNC: Gaba, Vitamin B50, L-Tyrosine, and Bach Rescue Remedy during the day and Melatonin and Valerian Root at night. I know that sounds like a lot of stuff but trust me, the withdrawals are really that BAD! I got all of that stuff at GNC myself but not sure if your GNC will have it all. You must have a computer so google the info on all of these b/ c I do not have enough room to tell you exactly what each do. The L-Tyrosine works on the Central Nervous System, The Bach Rescue Remedy is a combo of flowers (get the liquid) it really works. Read up on Gaba and Vitamin B50. The Valerian and Melatonin will help you relax at night (you cannot overdose on Valerian or Melatonin so like the herbal lady said, take a few extra than what they say on the label). This might sound crazy to some, but look, it saved me! The pain killers will kill you (Jenn took two a day for a few weeks and had a liver transplant). The withdrawals/ detox is the worst feeling I have ever had and this worked for me!!! Email me if you have any questions, I know what you are going through and i want to help!!
