Will Tramadol help ease opiate withdrawal?
I am getting off of Vicodin and I am starting to go through withdrawal. I read that Tramadol helps ween people off other pain killers such as Vicodin. I am also concerned about the possiblity of seizures. I've read Tramadol can cause seizures. I have never had a seizure though and I took Tramaol for 20 days about a year ago & never had a seizure from it. Has anyone been in this same situation I'm in? Withdrawal and taking Tramadol to ease it? No I cannot go to a doc at this time. No money, no insurance so I cant just walk into a hospital or doc office at this time. So that isn't an option for me. I just need some good advice and hopefully from someone with experience. Thank you so much. Help and answers will be much appreciated.
Help with opiate withdrawal symptoms!!!?
Hey everybody, I am recovering from an opiate addiction. Wow, thats the first time I've admitted this.. I work in healthcare, so I know how to manage my opiate withdrawal symptoms aches, sweats, insomnia, etc . I guess what I really need is to hear from somebody out there in the world that has gone through this before that will tell me.. YES, IT WILL BE OK, I'VE BEATEN THIS MONSTER AND SO CAN YOU . I get my medicine the legal way, through my physician, but I don't take the medicine as prescribed. What should last me two months only lasts me a month or less. I would take the pills to feel happy, energetic, hopeful, and my recreational use over time turned into a rip roaring physical dependancy. Whenever I was going to be around people to have a good time, I would take the pill s to feel happy and be a fun person to be around. Now I feel that I can't enjoy life anymore without the meds...will the cravings ever go away?

How can i cope with opiate withdrawals?
I have been taking Endocet 10 350 for almost a year for a chronic back condition. I ran out about a week ago, and since I lost my job, i haven't been on my feet all day so my pain is manageable. The withdrawals however are not. Shaking on the inside, freezing cold feet, anxiety, insomnia. I can't afford to go the Dr. so does anyone have any advice for home things I can do at home to feel better? I am going to call my pain mgt. Dr. tomorrow, but I feel so bad. It's been 7 days and I thought these symptoms would subside, but they seem to be geting worse, and I'm scared.
Diarrhea while NOT in opiate withdrawal?
I am a chronic pain patient that is prescribed Hydrocodone 10 500 for pain. Today I woke up with stomach cramps, and pure liquid diarrhea has had me bed ridden for the entire day. This is odd to me, as I am usually constipated due to the opiate pain medication. I have slight stomach upset, but not vomiting....just coming from the other end yes I know...GROSSS . Additionally I have taken 4mg of immodium today, along with my normal opiate dose....and still no relief.Side note. My doc prescribed me the lowest dose of xanax recently, and I took it for 3 days as prescribed for anxiety...decided that it was not for me....and discontinued taking the xanax. Could I be in BENZO withdrawal after only 3 days? If so....it sounds kinda odd.

How do you beat opiate withdrawals?
ok... i've had very severe back pain for years... i had surgery in july... i have been on vicodin and percocet for a year now... if i added correctly then my refill should be today, but the doc's office says they will fill it til thurdsay. i've already started to feel withdrawals. i have been through withdrawals before but i was using the shit recreationally back then and i went into a rehab facility for help... now that i am strictly taking them as prescribed, and NOT abusing them, i'm still starting to feel withdrawals now. i'm just wondering if there are any tips in making them not so bad... the worst for me is the cold sweats at night and i cant sleep. i rented 4 movies in hopes that it will keep my mind occupied. i have some flexeril that doesnt really work to help me cope and sleep... but.... i'm scared, and i feel like i'm dying...... what should i do??

How good is the herbal leaf Kratom at easing opiate withdrawal symptoms?
I have been trying to stop taking my prescription pain meds for a very long time now. I take oxycodone and oxycontin for back pain. I discovered that going to a chiropractor on a regular basis is effective at controlling my back pain. The problem is I am physically addicted to the pain meds and I get really sick whenever I try to quit. I have tried weening myself down slowly but I always end up failing. My Doctor wants me to come in for an office visit twice a week for suboxone treatment but I have no insurance and can't afford to pay 250 dollars a week just so the Doctor can give me a 10 dollar pill in her office twice a week for a month or two. I keep trying to cold turkey it but by day 3 I'm so sick I would do anything to feel better including heroin if that's all I could find. Lucky for me I have never had to do heroin. But I always just end up taking oxycodones or Oxycontin's or methadone just to stop feeling so horrible. While surfing the web for advice today I discovered a legal herb called Kratom that is supposed to be really good at easing opiate withdrawls plus it doesn't show up on a piss test. Im wondering if anyone who reads this question has had experience with Kratom and how well does it work. I've already ordered it online via express mail. If anyone has any experience or advice about Kratom Im all ears.
