Question: Is it safe to take methadone and sleep?

So i took a pill of methadone. and its gotten me high sometimes i feel like throwing up but im know im not gonna and i kinda feel fine. i was wondering if it was safe to take a nap while on it?

It is ill advised to go to sleep while on any sort of opiod/ opiate. The potential for you to choke on your own tongue is very real. My best friends brother-in-law just died taking too many percocets and going to sleep and inadvertently choked himself to death. Heroin and other opiate users will also agree with me.
