Methadone: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: Anyone out there on methadone treatment?

I been on pain killers for a few years now and recently started going to a Methadone Clinic to get off of them. It really has helped, I have not bought any in two weeks which is a record for me. The methadone has strange little side effects though. For instance if Im not active, like sitting in my seat not doing nothing i will doze off and have these weird mini dreams that seem so real! Or I will jump in my seat as if i was about to fall asleep but quickly startled my self awake. There is nothing about this in the pamphlets i received when i started getting the methadone. So my questions or questions are: If you do take methadone do you have anything like this happening to you? If so how long did they last, if they have stopped? Also how long did it take for them to get your dose high enough (no pun intended) to last you till the next dose?

Methadone is a diff kind of drug that has more chems in it than any other like it-a drug down feeling---ask for suboxone-u can do a pill splitting with them thru the day

I would get on Suboxone instead.. Methadone w/ d are pretty horrible. Since methadone is really long acting, w/ d can last up to a month. Not trying to scare you or anything but I recommend getting on Suboxone.. Methadone can cause people to have strong 'nods', (dosing off to sleep but really euphoric, if you don't know what that is). That's what's happening. It happens with higher doses. You could always not take as much but I don't know if that will stop them either. Just depends on your dose.
