Question: How effective is methadone treatment in improving the lives of heroin addicts?

I don't know if you can really say how effective it is because it really depends on how determined the individual is to stay off dope. Ive seen lots and lots of folks who still shoot dope every day even though their on 'done, they just take the 'done so they don't get sick if they cant cop. However Ive known lots and lots of folks who do stay off the stuff and swear that 'done has saved their lives. It's safer and you don't have to comit crimes to get it because it so much cheaper.
