Methadone Program: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: If i am on methadone program?

I throw up after i have a hit of morphine or oxycontin and seeing as though methadone is liquid that you drink, if i vomit that there goes my fix and here comes the cravings? any info, am starting program cause am heavy tramadol user. will it go straight into my blood stream or is it slow release or something? yes i know ultram is not as strong as the other narcotics but 25mg of methadone is better than 800mg of tramadol every day

Methadone is not for an Ultram addiction. It's MUCH worse than Ultram. Methadone is used to withdraw from heroin....which is much worse than methadone. You don't go on a much stronger drug to get off of a lesser drug.

You need some medication for your upset stomach,take before you medicate the addiction problem.Good Luck. I pray you can Stop your pain,and live a happy productive life...Check for allergic reactions to Morphine,you could be resistant to certain Meds.There's alternatives.Oxycontin you must have a full stomach,you will feel some dizziness and Stomach nausea,it will pass.Codeine is a strong drug,so take it slow.Maybe 1/ 2 at a time.every 4 hours.Best Wishes. You must eat before on most meds.

You shouldn't be on any control II narcotics if you are a tramadol user. Morphine, oxycontin, and methadone are all CII's and way way way way stronger than ultram or tramadol. If you're having an upset stomach though, try taking your meds with food or milk. An upset stomach is a side effect of most pain medications though, so not sure if anything you do will help.

I've taken tramadol and I know what you mean when you are going through withdraw. It is not fun, however your best method is wait it out, and get over it a natural way, because methadone will cover up the withdraw and give you something else to dependent on.....
