Methadone Maintenance: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: If i am going too methadone maintenance does that mean i am registered in a system?

I am wondering if i am in a methadone maintanence clinic for opiate addiction, , and lets say i am ever in a car wreck or develope cancer or something hen i am older will this keep me from getting the pain meds i need? well i really really wanted to go with suboxone but i dont have any insurance and the price is just insane at better than 15+ a pill , , and they said i would need 5- 7 a day..

PLEASE DO NOT GO ON METHADONE! Suboxone works so much better. They will eventually taper you off methadone, but you will go through HELLISH withdrawals. Some people say they are worse than heroin because they last for 2-4 weeks. I have w/ d from methadone, and it was NOT fun. At all................. Please, try suboxone instead....

Yes your in a system and no it shouldn't keep you from getting the pain relief you need. Actually everyone who has been precribed a narcotic is in a system and drs have a way were they run a D.A.C. report on the computer and find out what you have been taking.
