I really did not know that midrin was controlled substance. I did'nt have a script. my daughter gave me one for an head ache. Now I'm afraid this drug will show on a drug screen and I will loose my take homes for the methadone treatment program.

I am in a methadone maintenance program and my sex drive has gone way down, what can I do?
I have been on methadone for 3 weeks now and my sex drive has greatly decreased. Up until then my wife and I were " enjoying each other" five to ten times a week and now maybe 2 times a week. She is so attractive and beautiful and I still do things to make her " happy" , but i have a hard time performing. It's making her sad and I am disappointed in myself. For other Methadone Maintenance Treatment Patients!?
I'm a recovering Opiate addict that has been on 100mg of methadone a day for almost 6 months now. My cravings for opiates have diminished drastically as they should, however, for the last month or so, totally out of the blue, I have been having the most intense cravings for crystal meth. I was never even into ice that hard.. I did it for about 3months some 8 years ago, so, WTF? is this normal for methadone patients? I did love Meth, but there's something about the drug that scares the hell out of me and I told myself I'd never do it again. then again, we addicts know how those self proclaimed promises go....lol but while I'm sitting here thinking " damn, I want some shit baaaaaddd " I'm also sitting here thinking " Damn...battery acid? Drain cleaner? Lighter fluid? Shit, I'll never touch it again " it's almost as if Satan is sitting on one shoulder and God is sitting on the other, both tryna pull me in their direction. so, I guess my questions are, 1, is this normal for methadone patiets to suddenly crave other drugs that they normally didn't use or put much thought into? And 2, what do I do? I'm getting closer and closer to using every single day, and I want to prevent that. Aside from the cravings, I still know deep down that I don't want to use, but, us addicts know that when it comes down to it, we really are powerless... Will Methadone Maintenance work for Oxycodone Addiction?
Our friend has chronic pain associated with an assault to the head with a tire tool, that resulted in a fractured skull, crushed sinus and a broken jaw. He has had one surgery but will require more. Because he is at the mercy of his home state's budget, he may not get the surgery. Now the high powered pain killers he's on are the only thing that get him through. He's taken so many that there's no way he could stop now, and the pain which is very real is still an issue. So...how do we get him the pain management he needs and get him off the Oxycodone? Is methadone maintenance a solution? Would he qualify for a state program? What kinds of non narcotic pain management programs are out there that could he try? This is not a joke. What's the most comfortable yet fast way to get off Methadone Maintenance?
I am on methadone,my current dose is 78 Mg's. I've been on it for about 7 months now. And I have not used since other than pot. But every time I start decreasing my dose,it hurts too bad,too quick. And I can't seem to go any lower,at this point. So I usually just raise the dose back up again. I am STUCK and do not know what to do. I REALLY want to finally be off of it for good. I feel SO ready And the $60 a week fee is too much and I never even have money to go out and do " normal" things like ppl who r not on it,cuz of such high costs. I know I was spending WAY more on heroin. But I am not using heroin at all since I have been on the methadone. PLEASE If there is ANYBODY out there who has EXPERIENCE and not just opinions or even just second hand knowledge let me know what u have to say about this I am desperate BTW Please don't say rehab cuz I am already going to classes,groups,and individual therapy.I am past all of that.
