I am doing a research paper on mostly state runed facilities clinic which specialize in methadone treatment, I was just wondering if anyone here has any personal experiences or views on this type of treatment? I am just wondering if I should take on a negative standpoint or a positive....

Does anyone know what insurance companies cover methadone maintenance treatment? ?
My friend is already on methadone maintenance and it's really expensive 105$ a week . I know there are some insurance companies that cover it, but don't know which ones. Also, he has a temporary job, so can't get insurance through his job yet. the website wouldn't open up.

He has been on Methadone for about 4 months. But, all he does is sleep. We work together and while at work, anytime he sits down, he goes to sleep. During lunch...he cant even eat because he is falling asleep. And, at home...oh my gosh, we cant even sit and watch TV together because he falls asleep. When he drives, he nods. To look at him, you would think he is in a drunken stooper. It is so embarrassing. Our friends and family know of his drug problem in the past and also his addiction to pain pills. It is so embarrassing to be around our friends because my husband ALWAYS falls asleep. He looks like he is high. This cant be normal? Someone please help

I'm on methadone maintenance program. I took midrin for head ache, does this show on a drug screen?
I really did not know that midrin was controlled substance. I did'nt have a script. my daughter gave me one for an head ache. Now I'm afraid this drug will show on a drug screen and I will loose my take homes for the methadone treatment program.

i am concerned that he is experincing extreame sleepiness and respitory depression. his breathing is slow and deep. and he wants to sleep all the time. is this a normal side effect from the methadone or withdraw from the opitate? or should i be concerned that it is perhaps an overdose? i know they monitor the intake of methadone that he is given, i'm just concerned and i don't know much about the drugs.thanks.
