A methadone clinic overdosed me. I was honest about my drug intake and they gave me too much methadone. As a result, I was in a coma for thirty days. Can I pursue this legally and sue the clinic for what they did to me or make them change their policy. Please help me with the law steps I must take in this situation. Thank you so much. I am in a methadone clinic, slip up?
I have been on 80 for about 5 days now and asked them to up me. But I have been taking other methadone on the side. I take about 40mg on the side in addition to the 80. So how do I get of the extra and then after will the 80 still work or will I have withdrawals? I am so confused. Is there someone I can call? I don't know if I want to call my clinic. What action will they take if I tell them I have been taking some for just a few days give or take? I have only been in the program for less than 20 days.

Is someone who's been to a methadone clinic precluded from being licensed as a RN?
I have a friend, Sue, who was trying to become a physician assistant, and was ready to enter a program this fall. Then, another PA told Sue that she might couldn't get a license b c she had been to a methadone clinic in the past. The state board of medicine WV said that it was possible that she could find herself unable to be licensed after graduation. So, she decided to apply to a nursing program, but has not been able to get the state nursing board to answer her question. Also, I don't know if it matters, but Sue does have a medical condition for which she was prescribed narcotic pain relievers. She sought the help of a methadone clinic after developing a dependence on the pain pills, and then entered a Suboxone program to get off the methadone. She's very distraught that she may have irrevocably ruined her life by trying to get help, and needs to know ASAP whether she can enter a nursing program or not.

I live in a small town, although anything you say or do in a doctors office is supposed to be completely confidential for those of you who also live in little towns your know how word about absolutley anything and everything can get around to your friends and most importantly..your family. How is a methadone clinic legally operated. I know several young adults that go to a methadone clinic, and none of them ever get any better. Nobody else at the clinic ever gets better either. They pay nearly 500 dollars a month to get high legally. They have no set plan to ween you off. They allow you to stay there as long as you want. If you fail multiple drug tests they continue to let you come. This is absolutely insane that this is allowed by the government. I guarantee you the success rate of a methadone clinic is less than 2 %. Sure people are not doing heroin anymore, but they are doing methadone which basically does the same thing. The people I know stay high on their dosage, and come home and try to find more and more. Everyone I know that goes to that place is getting no better. Nobody that they know that goes to that place is getting any better. If you type methadone in yahoo answers, you find a bunch of addicts trying to figure out how to get more, how to sneak it out, if I take this with my methadone will I be ok, how often do they have drug tests at the clinic because I want to get high on something else too. It's crazy that no one has made this an issue. I don't think most of the general population realize this is going on. People try to argue that this is junkies trying to get better, when actually it's junkies trying to get high without having to worry about a jail sentence.

Why would Methadone clinic give an addict methadone outpatient?
My brother was addicted to prescription pain meds and alcohol. He was given methadone out patient and died I just cannot understand why a dangerous drug would be given with no medical supervision. It seems so irresponsible to me. I am so angry and sad about this.
