I have had a herion addiction for many years,although clean for 6month,i get 100 ml of methadone daily?
40mg of fluxatine prozac and then 40mg of dazepanv valium . daily i have been on the methadone for 22year,has any one heard of anybody on it so long plus did it help,i see no light at te ed ofthe tunnel,please help,thanksxx

I have a friend who has been on Methadone for years now and I'm wondering how much does it cost on average to go to a clinic for Methadone everyday? What is a weekly cost? What is a monthly cost? Why would methadone show up in my urine test?
I see a pain specialist doctor for a back injury. Every six months I must give a urine sample, which is a dip stick test in office. On my last visit, marijuana was found as were two other prescription drugs of which I do not take. The doctor is now sending my urine to a lab to be tested. I am not worried the prescription drugs found as I do not take those however, I do smoke pot once in a while to help with pain control. I live in California but do not have a cannabis card. I am sure my doctor will put this in my report to my workers compensation carrier who pays for my doctor visits. Can the insurance company deny all further medical care due to my pot use? Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,K.

I detoxed myself from 38.5 mgs of methadone..stayed cat 2.5 mgs 10 monthes?
i had to go back to pain mangement,,sevre pains...so she said how much do you take and how long..i said im on the same script you wrote 10 monthes ago..so i took a urine test...no methadone showed up just my xanax im prescibed..why is it that it never showed in my urine?? 2.5 mgs pill form is lowest u can go..and still a potent dose,,but no pain control on this dose..i told her i hate methadone,,been on 160 tops weened down to 2.5 mgs in 3 yrs..by myself..last 38.5 about killed me though..she said im going to give you 2,,5mg perks take 1 every 12 hrs prn only..so here i am wondering why didnt the meth show up in urine drop??????????? she said you wont have to worry about any withdralws..i find this not true even taking perks so hers what i need to know..should i waite and gt the methadone out of my systym then start the perks??? also on xanax both scripts..i 4gt to ,ask her things..cvs told mre there shouldnt be any problem even if a bit of meth was in you......NEED INPUT THANKSim not detoxng i was put on perks..

I'm starting methadone treatment on sept 9 for my opiate addiction. I have tried suboxone and it didn't work for me. I have always been a heavy pot smoker and once I start treatment I am stopping with the pot. Do I have to dissolve my 40MG Tablets of Methadone? Why am I not supposed to chew and/or swallow them?
I have been on methadone maintenance for about 3 years now & I just gained something called Step 30 which means that I don't have to go in to the clinic every day anymore. Instead, I come in once a month to pick up a months worth of pills. When I went in to the clinic I was getting liquid methadone, but now I have the Methadose 40mg Methadone Hydrochloride Tablets For Oral Suspension USP. On a different label they are also called Methadone HCL 40mg Diskettes. I'm told that I am not supposed to chew and or swallow them before I dissolve them in water. Unfortunetly, they taste horrible and even mixing them in OJ is nasty. My question is, why can't I break them up & swallow them, & if I did what would be the worst thing that could happen? If I do absolutely have to dissolve them first, do you have any advice on a less painful way to administer them? Thanks
