Heroin Abuse: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: Would i be able to get methadone treatment for my heroin abuse under these circumstances?

I really want to get clean, Ive spent thousands and thousands on this crap in less than a year but I cant stop. A boyfriend got me into it and no one knows how much I do it.. I still have my job and everything.. but Im afraid a methadone clinic wont take me because Ive only been doing it for 10 months, and I smoke it.. not shoot it.. and I dont know if thats as bad... but I do it EVERY day and there is no self control anymore :/ Im a good girl though and I dont want to end up dead or in jail.. I know whats good for me. Ive been trying to stop but everyday I end up giving in. just to get high or cuz I think I wont sleep, or I feel so crappy.. what do i need to do?

Yes a methadone clinic will take you. I am a patient at a methadone clinic and although I used for 6 years and was an IV user, I go there with many people who only snorted and shot for about a year. There are also people there who only were on Oxys or even Vicodin. Their mian perpouse is to help people and the earlier you get help the better. Look into getting into one quickly. findtreatment.samhsa.gov/ is a good website that will help you find a clinic near you. PLEASE don't let people scare you away from getting on methadone. You'll hear people tell you all kinds of lies. It was made by Hitler (not true) That it ruins your bones (not true) all sorts of things. They will also tell you its just "legal dope " also a lie, its a medication that helps keep you clean, I've been on it for 3 years on the 8th and I've been clean (with two mistakes) since then. I tried rehab 9 times and it didn't work. Methadone is a life saver so get on that website find a clinic and contact them as soon as you can.
