Drug Withdrawal: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: Can fever be a sign of drug withdrawal (crack, coke, etc)?

My friend seems to get a fever all the time. he goes out and parties every other day or every couple of days and it seems like the next day or so he always has a fever and is sick. im thinking he is doing crack, since he spends a lot of time with a known crack head. but what i am wondering is a fever a sign of coming down or withdrawing from speed? i know fevers can be dangerous and i just don't think it's normal for someone to have so many fevers. he will never admit to doing the drugs and i don't know how to help him. ps- wasn't sure what category to put this under...sorry

Well you should have put this question under general health lol but seriously but if he's around a known crackhead & constantly getting a fever it could be that he is using the drug not withdrawing from it, crack cocaine can cause chemical imbalances in the brain as well, a drug addict will never ever admit there is a problem
