Drug Detox: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: I have to drug detox! really scared. anyone done this before?

Hey, I am being forced to go to Hospital to detox for my codeine addiction! I'm so pis**d off because I'm scared of Hospitals. Has anyone done this before? What happens, does it really work? Please help, I'm having second thoughts. I may even sneak out at some stage!

You definitely have a few difficult days ahead,but not the detox from codeine in a hospital. It is the safest/ wisest thing you can do. There is so much hope for you because getting help no longer has the negative connotation it once did.The alternatives are simply Jails,Institutions or death. Yes,I did it! The good news is in a hospital you will be monitored and they won't let you go through more than you can handle safely. I been clean for 6yrs.Coke,pot,stadol,morphine,and lortab ruled my thoughts. Now I seek to heal my self through sharing hope and strength with other similars.Good luck and God bless.

Codeine can kill. Detox will work if you want it to.

Its harder to quit something if you are forced to if you do it for your own health then it makes it heaps easier just pretend like you were never really addicted to it and you are fine to go home it shouldnt take to long to get out of there because the staff will think its a waste of time keeping you there if you dont have an addiction ;)
