Maybe? I'm bored and it often leads to depression. Sometimes people do things wrong but they don't really want they outcome to happen. E.g. I took some Paracetamol once, not an overdose just unnecessarily having it, hoping it would do something wrong to me because I wanted some relief from depression/ boredom. After I took it, I was feeling some discomfort inside and then I actually thought I was on the road to death and that feeling gave me really bad shivers and panic! REally in my mind I wanted to cause self-harm. So sometime people may turn to the alcohol and drug addiction just to cause some pain. I hope that kind of links in with your questions, I've just written a whole load and re-read your question. But because Its taken me ages to write this I might as well just submit it. Hope it helps. |

Boredom is a symptom, not the cause. I don't know about you, but I can haul my front door open and look out at a whole load of things that need to be changed. In my experience, no society is perfect - there are always some things - small things - that can be tackled, and will make a noticable difference to your own and other people's world. For one or two hours, you may feel good, but in the long-run, alcohol and drugs don't solve anything. They don't add anything positive to your life The solution would be to find something productive to do - preferably as part of a group |
