A) this is both misuse and abuse B) this is both misuse and abuse C) if the drug is legal and intended to prevent or alleviate withdrawal symptoms, it is neither misuse or abuse. Withdrawal symptoms result from drug abuse. Taking an illegal drug to prevent withdrawals from drug abuse, is drug abuse. D) this is addiction, resulting from misuse and abuse of painkillers.
