Addiction Symptoms: Methadone Symptoms & Side Effects

Question: Help from xanax users...looking for addiction symptoms. does it cause weight gain?

I have a family member I think is pill popping...one startling thing I just heard is that long term xanax usage causes heavy weight gain from xanax munchies? I am wondering because they have put on close to 100 lbs in a year, among other things....any common user symptoms you can share would be helpful....thanx!

Tiredness, listlessness, memory loss, weight loss, weight gain, additional anxiety, muscle ache, apnea, depression...the list goes on. I hope that isn't what is going on with your family member.

If Xanax is prescribed and taken at the dosage required the addiction is much better than the anxiety. A doctor who prescribes the medication can slowly wean a person off of it without any withdrawal symptoms. But if the Xanax is not prescribed and is taken without supervision it is extremely addictive and dangerous. Xanax doesn't cause weight gain.
