Has anyone successfully come off methadone and remained clean so far?
I was an IV user of anything i could rig up to shoot in my veins, primarily Dilaudid, for about 7 years. I've been going to a Methadone clinic for 3 years as of March 19th, 2010. Since being there, I have not touched one drug, one drink, or one cigarette even. I know it will be slow going, probably a year or so, but I would really like to start coming down, from 120mg , and try to quit. However, I'm SCARED TO DEATH that the moment I no longer have Methadone, I will quickly cave in to an urge to get high. Even though I know it has some effect on me, because obviously I'm relying on it , I no longer feel any kind of effect after taking it each morning. Sometimes I even forget to take it and will realize it mid morning and then go take it. I'd like to know if anyone who had an extremely severe addiction, like mine, used Methadone to " get clean" and is now off of it and has remained drug free??

My workplace uses a 5 or 6 panel urine drug test. These get sent to a federal lab, will methadone show up?
I know that methadone requires a specific 10, 11 or 12 panel test, but I was curious about the lab testing. Does the employer have to pay extra for this test, or will it show up in the regular lab testing that they do?

I have back problems and have been taking 40 mgs of methadone a day for a year now. I am having trouble getting off of them and have been suggested suboxone. Just wondering how long this will take to kick and If I will just end up replacing suboxone for the methadone. Any first hand info on suboxone would be appreciated. Before I talk to a doctor.

I have a friend that just got pulled over for not turning into the " right" lane supposedly and they are giving her a dui for being on methadone, frist they thought she was on speed then they changed their mind and said it must be weed. Neither applied just the methadone and she hasn't taken the blood test, can she fight it? or get it dropped? This happened in Lynnwood Washington.

I got a First Check 12 panel drug test.. I am testing for Methadone. It is Wednesday today, the last time I took Methadone was Monday. I have a drug test for Pretrial today. I have until 4pm to report. I have given 2 dirtys in a row for Percocet. I took the methadone because it helps me get off the perks, and i have been doing okay.. I havn't had any withdrawals at all. If I give another dirty I will get locked up. I didn't think I would have to report until Friday so now I'm a little worried. The kit says methadone takes 1 3 days to get out of your system, but I've heard 3 6 days.. so I don't know. So How accurate are these tests? And How long does it take for Methadone to get out of you??
